Vincotto translated as 'Cooked Wine' derives from the slow reduction of fresh grape must until it reaches the consistency of a syrup and aged in oak barrels. The family of Gianni Calogiuri has been producing Vincotto from Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera grapes in Lecce (Southern Italy) since 1825.

It is naturally rich in anti-oxidants and has a complex and sweet taste with no added sugars or preservatives. This condiment is a favourite secret ingredient for cakes, fruits salads, ice cream or to drizzle over cheeses.
